I signed up for SocialSpark!

Sunday, June 1, 2008

This is another online earning prospect for me. SocialSpark is the newest craze in the blogging community. It’s a social networking site for bloggers and advertisers. Since I’ve signed up 8th of May, I’ve received a couple of friend requests, accepted them all, and got my few props. A prop, by the way, is the term they use for positive feedback, and Drop is for negative. Good thing and I’m grateful, even for just that few props, it's better than receiving a drop.

As a blogger myself, I’m going to give some details on how SocialSpark
works. Bloggers, can make or sign-up for their account, much like with other social networking site. But though, unlike other social networking site where you show off pictures you’ve taken while you travel abroad, etc, with Social Spark you get to show off your blog(s). You’ll gain popularity as you try to make friends with other members of the sites. You also get to read interesting blogs, and you might learn something from them. With that said, it means another way of increasing traffic to your blogs.

Your public profile page consists of some of your info, depends if you prefer to show it public. It contains your photo, your headline, about you, demographic info, date you joined, props/views you received, members who have visited you, and or added you, etc. The most important part of this is that you have your blogs listed, and a short feed of your latest post with a screenshot of your blog page, on which you have recent post. You don’t have to do anything, it automatically add the feeds there. But of course, you need to add your blog information beforehand.

Also, besides your profile page, each of your blog has their own pages too. You get to see which member of Social Spark had visited your blog’s page, blog analytics, props your blog received, etc.

As for the opportunities, it’s really easy to navigate; you click on marketplace and browse opportunities. If you see the OPEN and QUAL green, it means you can take that opportunity, if red, you can’t. You can also filter it, so it does make it easier for you to search for just qualified and open opportunities for you.

SocialSpark is here to help us monetize our blog, build community, and drive traffic to our site/blog. In every company, code of ethics is really important, and theirs are:
-100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
-100% Transparency
-100% Real Opinions
-100% Search Engine Friendly
